Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that resembles an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem where many cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb and has very few missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas or modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and function are some of the most advanced available however it's expensive.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is quite compact. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does an excellent job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do it all.
However, if you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It's easy to set up, just snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it started.
The sleek G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. robotic vacuum cleaners on the other hand is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be empty as often, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
